Individual

Individual

This category is where you can place all your striking, colourful, beautiful nudibranchs' photos. Each nudibranch is different and here is where you can show you've found the best looking one! Even though it is the easiest category to participate in it’s also where you can expect the fiercest competition! Amaze us with the rarest, strangest or plain and simplest the better looking nudibranchs.

Sex

Sex

Pretty obvious what we expect to see in this category. Sex underwater is a fascinating subject and we are always ready to catch nudibranchs off guard. Getting a great shot in this category will be difficult but we can’t wait to see nudibranchs privacy exposed.

Egg masses

Egg masses

Orange, red, white, translucent? Simple ribbon, spiral ribbon, flat? Egg masses don’t move and they can easily be a good photo subject if you can find one, with all their different colors and shapes! Show us the nudibranch artworks (egg masses) you've found before they become… nudibranchs. How else could you fit dozens of nudis in one photo? Only as egg masses!

Behaviour

Behaviour

This category is where you can show us the behaviour of nudibranchs, either it’s swimming by flapping the mantle, following another nudibranch trail or just smelling the water column to find their way to the closest food supply. If they are doing something we want to know!

Ecological interactions

Ecological interactions

Sometimes nudibranchs' paths cross with other organisms, here is where you can show us your photos of those meetings! If they are eating or being eaten (predation), if they are parasites or have parasites of their own (parasitism), or if they are cooperating with other organisms (symbiosis) those photos can be added here. Some nudibranchs are quite fierce and we want photos to prove it!
