It is an islet which is placed in front of Atalaia beach, also known as Atalaia´s rock, in Fora Sea, on Fernando de Noronha's island. In the past it was called Sinos Island because of the tide noise when beating the rocks. It was named Frade Island because it seems like a sat friar, like he was praying. The plunge in this place has a maximum depth of 20 meters.
